SunShop Requirements
Generally, SunShop will run on any server and OS that has PHP and MySQL support, however we do recommend a UNIX / LINUX environment with at least the following configurations:
PHP
Your web server or hosting company must support PHP 5 or better. GD Library and cURL support are also needed in order to use some of the advanced features. Mcrypt is also a required PHP module in order to install SunShop and it is recommended that you check with your host to make sure that PHP is compiled with Mcrypt on your server.
MySQL
The web server or hosting company must support must have support for MySQL databases. SunShop is compatible with MySQL versions from 4.1+. You will need to have access to a MySQL database, so make sure you have the following information ready when attempting the installation: your MySQL server/host name, your database name, your username and password for MySQL access.
Web Hosting
Depending on which distribution is used, a fresh installation can require up to 25 MB of disk space. The database space used by SunShop depends on the number of products, customers and orders stored in it. Accordingly, database space requirements may vary from as little as 1 megabyte for small shops to over 100 megabytes for large stores.
