What is a merchant account?
A merchant account is an agreement in which a merchant is able to accept credit cards and the acquirer (payment processor) directly deposit the funds into the merchant's business checking account.

What is a gateway?
A gateway is a secure portal that connects to your shopping cart and transmits the credit card information to the payment processor for authorization and settlement. All Internet merchants require a secure payment gateway to process transactions.

Is the payment gateway included with the merchant account?
Yes, you will receive both a merchant account and a payment gateway. This will make it very easy for you to get your questions answered and receive support; there's no need to go to multiple vendors to get your questions answered.

How long does it take to get a merchant account?
Final approval and set up usually takes only 48 hours. It's easy!

How hard is it to integrate the payment gateway with SunShop shopping cart software?
The payment gateway and SunShop shopping cart software are seamlessly integrated. After you are approved, a TWT support representative can walk you through the easy set up process.

Does your payment gateway offer fraud protection to help avoid chargeback's?
Yes, we utilize AVS, CVV2, and IP Frequency Check to limit your exposure to fraudulent transactions.

What credit cards can I take with TWT Merchant Account?
We can set you up to be able to take all major credit and debit cards, including Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, American Express®, Diners®, and JCB®. Please inform your merchant account specialist which card types you would like to accept.

Does the payment gateway come with a virtual terminal?
Yes, your payment gateway will come with a virtual terminal and at NO extra cost.

What is a virtual terminal?
A virtual terminal allows you to process and manage all aspects of your credit cards transactions from your computer via the internet, including mail, phone, and fax orders.

What if I just want to use a PayPal® button or Google® Checkout along with my merchant account?
Giving your customers choices on how to pay is very smart and will lead to increased sales. You will find that some customers will not use PayPal to check out and some will want that option. Having many payment options available to your customers is wise.

What kind of businesses are not accepted through TWT Merchant Account?
We do not support the following list of businesses: adult, escort services, online pharmaceuticals, online gambling, get rich quick schemes, pyramid sales, HCG weight loss products, collection agencies, and airlines.

How do I receive payment from credit cards?
All funds are wire-transferred directly into your business checking account within approximately 48 hours using the Federal Reserve.

How will my company name appear on my customers credit bill?
Your DBA (doing business as) name will appear on their credit bill along with your business telephone number. There are up to 25 characters available on a customer's credit card bill.

What if I need help with my terminal or gateway? Is there support?
Yes. You will have access to free customer service and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
